Established in 2017, ReMix Ideas is committed to disrupting cycles of intergenerational poverty and creating pathways for economic mobility through business ownership. The organization has supported more than 1,000 Black entrepreneurs to start, grow and scale their businesses and create jobs in their communities.

In 2021, ReMix Ideas in partnership with FORGE Community Loan Fund (a CDFI), launched the Imani Fund –an innovative loan product which is rooted in equity.

The fund uses a unique underwriting process that values an individual’s character and business-model potential over their collateral or credit score. An individual’s potential to execute a viable business outweighs past relationship with personal debt. By providing microloans between $5,000 and $25,000 and free technical assistance, the fund hopes to help more underestimated entrepreneurs succeed.

ReMix Ideas was named the Small Business Administration 2020 Entrepreneurial Support Organization of the Year for helping entrepreneurs work toward and achieve their business dreams and economic success.
